MEET THE TEAM

The Great Island Foundation, Inc, (GIF) is a Connecticut non-stock corporation qualifying under Section 501 (c) (3) formed in 2022 to further and promote charitable and educational purposes to return the mouth of the Connecticut River and the Long Island Sound to a rich, diverse and regenerative ecosystem and motivate creative entrepreneurial individuals to support the economy surrounding such areas in an environmentally responsible way through educational and regenerative activities of natural habitats.

The GIF founding members are natives of Old Lyme with a lifetime of knowledge of the area, and a profound sense of responsibility and stewardship to protect this rare and vital element of a vast global ecology.
